Everything we do, grouped by category

Ducted furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps, installed to spec.

We are a Day & Night dealer, and it is the line we reach for when a house wants one central ducted system done properly — a gas furnace, an air conditioner, a heat pump or a matched pair. We size it to the house, install it to the manufacturer's spec, and commission it with the readings written down.

Day & Night System Services details

What this includes

  • Day & Night gas furnace, air conditioner, heat pump and packaged-unit installation
  • Matched furnace + AC and dual-fuel furnace + heat pump pairings
  • Manual J load calculation rather than swapping like for like off the old nameplate
  • Duct evaluation and static-pressure testing before the equipment is specified
  • Line-set, condensate, venting and combustion-air work to code
  • Commissioning with recorded airflow, temperature-rise and charge readings
  • Thermostat and control setup, including dual-fuel changeover
  • Ongoing maintenance and repair on Day & Night equipment, including units we did not install

Whole-home air filtration for wildfire smoke, dust and dry air.

Air quality is not an upsell in this region — it is a core part of the system. We build filtration, ventilation and humidity control into the equipment so that when the air outside is bad, the air inside is not.

Indoor Air Quality Services details

Radiant floor heating, boiler service and snowmelt systems.

Radiant and hydronic heating is genuinely well suited to mountain homes, and it takes real craftsmanship to do correctly. We design, install, service and troubleshoot hydronic systems — in-floor radiant, panel radiators, hydronic air handlers and snowmelt.

Rooftop unit service, repair and maintenance plans for businesses.

For commercial properties, HVAC is an operating requirement. We handle service, replacement and planned maintenance for offices, retail, restaurants, medical and light industrial spaces across Nevada County — with the scheduling discipline that keeps work from interrupting your business.

Commercial HVAC Services details

Furnace, AC and heat pump replacement sized by a load calculation.

A replacement is the one chance to fix everything the old system got wrong. We start with a load calculation and a look at your ductwork — not a rule-of-thumb tonnage guess — then design a system around how your home actually loses and gains heat.

Cold-climate and dual-fuel systems for homes at elevation.

Modern cold-climate heat pumps are a legitimately better answer for much of Nevada County than they were a decade ago. They heat and cool with one system, run on electricity, and hold usable capacity far below freezing — but only if the model is chosen for our climate and commissioned correctly.

Mitsubishi ductless mini-splits and multi-zone systems.

Mitsubishi inverter systems solve problems that a single central system cannot: the room that is always cold, the addition with no duct path, the ADU or shop, the open great room with a wall of glass. We design, install and service them — including multi-zone systems that condition several spaces independently from one outdoor unit.

Mitsubishi System Services details

What this includes

  • Single-zone and multi-zone inverter system design
  • Wall-mount, ceiling-cassette, floor-mount and slim-ducted indoor units
  • Ducted air handlers for whole-home zoned systems
  • Additions, ADUs, converted garages, shops, studios and guest cabins
  • Line-set routing planned for a clean exterior, not an afterthought
  • Condensate management including pumps where gravity drainage is not available
  • Controller, zoning and smart-thermostat integration
  • Filter, coil and blower-wheel maintenance to keep rated performance

No-heat and no-cool repair for furnaces, heat pumps and AC.

When a system quits in the foothills it is rarely convenient. We diagnose the real root cause — not just the symptom that tripped the thermostat — explain what we found in plain language, and give you the repair options before any work starts.
